TUG BOATS THAT GET THE JOB DONE

In my 30 =
years
of pastoral ministry I have been privileged to pastor 3 wonderful
churches. My first pastorate =
took
me to Mississippi River to various destinations. These supplies were transported da=
ily on
engineless barges pushed down stream by a tugboat. Without the assistance of these tu=
gboats
the barges would be useless in fulfilling their expected work.
Using this metap=

asize
the importance of providing Christian education for
today’s children and youth.
God commands Christian parents to provide a Bible-based education for
their children from birth to maturity (Ephesians 6:4). Christian school bar=
ges
are loaded with children and teens that are being taught a Christian world =
view
rather than the myths and lies of evolution. A biblical based education provide=
s each
student help in answering the difficult questions of life. Christian schools provide numerous
spiritual, academic, and social benefits which pay dividends for life and
eternity. A Christ-centered
Christian school philosophy nurtures positive peer pressure and fosters a
caring and safe environment.
Christian schools also develop Christian leadership and patriotism.
Teachers who love the Lord, the church, and their students are able to see =
the
eternal worth of each student while providing each of them adequate attenti=
on
and positive mentoring.
